There are a few other adapters from Inateck, StarTech and UGREEN that have been recommended by others, but I have not tested those myself (I have several of the older ASMedia based Eluteng adapters and one of the Neeyer adapter cables). The previously recommended Eluteng adapters now seem to be shipping with JMicron chips (according to reports from multiple forum members), so those are no longer recommended (they used to have ASMedia chips). Several ASMedia based adapters have been found to work well with the Pi4B, such as the Neeyer SATA-III to USB 3.0 adapter cable mentioned above (I have one as well and it works great). The Raspberry Pi 4 model B is out now, and it has USB 3.0, for which the JMicron 578 family of chips are not recommended (because they have broken UASP/TRIM support). One must obviously pay extreme attention to the ID!
